Purchasing a condominium for your daughters can be, if nothing else, extremely stressful, but Julie Cohen somehow found a way to relax us, reassure us and guide us through the process. Her patience, insight, and knowledge of the market were very comforting. She always found a way to ease our concerns without feeling as if we were being patronized, which was the feeling we often felt from other realtors. The funny thing is --- Julie was not our agent!!! We actually found the apartment on StreetEasy. Julie represented the seller but if you observed the way she spoke to us, dealt with us and laughed with us you never would have guessed that. We never felt like she was in it just for the sale. She became so helpful and concerned about our needs, that at times we even forgot that she did indeed actually represent the seller! Her honesty was real and refreshing. She allowed us all the time we needed to look around the apartment. She showed great patience. We never felt rushed. Julie insisted we take our time. “This is a big step. Don’t rush”, she said. “I don’t live far”. She was amazing.

With Julie, we never felt like any questions or concerns we had were stupid. When we first saw the apartment, we were apprehensive that the space was way too small for two girls, but Julie encouraged us to look at the possibilities. She walked us through many suggestions on how to we could make the space work. With excitement and enthusiasm, idea after another flowed from her mouth and before we knew it, we actually became excited at the prospect of having THIS apartment for our girls. Julie was wonderful. Truth be told, we don’t believe any other real estate agent could have kept us interested in this apartment. Julie, however, made it our reality. From visualizing the possibilities, to placing a formal bid to advising us about documents needed to close, Julie was always available and always on top of things. With her guidance, things ran so smoothly that before we knew it, the condominium was ours.

We are so glad we let our defenses down and put our trust in Julie. The apartment IS perfect; just like Julie said it would be. Our daughters love the neighborhood, the building, the apartment and their independence. Julie’s warmth, optimism, humor, expertise, friendliness and reassuring personality turned what started out as a stressful experience into a wonderful and exciting one.
